ITS RAINING CATS AND DOGS

About This Poem: The phrase 'ITS RAINING CATS AND DOGS' refers to rain heavily, which is repeated as an anaphora. This poem revolves around the beauty of the natural world that blooms even after a heavy rain shower.

ITS RAINING CATS AND DOGS

-Its raining cats and dogs,

 Eyes are misguided by fog,

-Ponds are sailed by paper-boats,

 Smell of love aboards.

-Croaks by frog, Tweets from boughs.

Terror of smog, Glossy green on logs

-Hails paining hard on bare,

Walk out of home if you dare.

-Where to run and where to hide,

No one to help and no one to guide.

-The beauty of nature devines,

The sphere looks fair and fine.

-children splashes in mud,

Water logs seems to become flood.

-The moment amalgamates harmony and love,

One's smile indicates the existence of dove.

-No time for a single sigh,

It's raining cats and dogs up high

The Tale Behind This: Here is my second poem! It was my father who prompted me to write this poem in my 6th standard just to test my knowledge by asking me to explain the meaning of 'raining cats and dogs' which means raining heavily. I had completed this poem by the time my father returned home that night, eagerly anticipating that he would read it when I completed it. The sight of this astonished him and a big smile arched across his face.

  2. Wow, more than the poem I loved the curiosity and eagerness of a 10 year old kid. To see that sparkle in the eyes of his father, to see that arched smile on his face... ❤️
